Farhan has been involved the cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance world for around 15 years. In that time, he has taken on almost every role available in the space. He started the security engineering team at Northwell Health (New York state's largest healthcare provider) and then went on to manage infrastructure and application security at entertainment behemoth Walt Disney Company's Marvel Entertainment division. Further opportunities led him to create the cybersecurity program and team at EdTech unicorn 2U (NASDAQ: TWOU), where he was instrumental in achieving SEC (Sarbanes-Oxley), SOC 1, and SOC 2 compliance attestations required to take the company public.
Most recently, Farhan was the Chief Information Security Officer at mental health startup Quartet Health (Oak HC/FT, Google Ventures, F-Prime), where he built a security program around regulatory compliance with HIPAA / HITECH, SOC 2 Type 2, and HITRUST.
